Give and you shall receive

It’s always been a belief of mine that what you give out you get back but never had I fully witnessed this in such a profound way than I have recently.

During the lockdown period, as some of you are aware, I was asked to be part of a movement for unheard voices- a women’s empowerment circle that then went on to create a week long summit and now a magazine!

I have felt so grateful to be part of such an amazing thing and even more so to see my words written in print in this first magazine. It’s also extremely daunting to have your self out there for the world to see and to be judged. But I did it and I am so grateful for this opportunity.

Showing gratitude for the little successes opens doors to bigger achievements, for example I was delighted to meet a publisher within this collaboration of woman who then set about creating a small book of kind words, short stories and art work... in the spur of the moment I added a short story up for her review. Eek, it was scary but writing under a pen name gave me a mask to hide behind and I showed up to writing a story. It payed off, my short story was added to the book... whoopee!!!

I am over the moon with my writing challenges that I have achieved. I am proud of myself for showing up and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I am still massively grateful for the women who have granted me this opportunity and better yet I am grateful and honoured for the opportunities still yet to receive.

So my thoughts to you are this... be grateful for all the little things because one day you will realise that these are the big things. Manifest your dreams, create the world you want and honour every minute of your being. x
